Sinai Synagogue Welcoming Service Audio Recording

Rabbi Michael Friedland leading the welcoming service in the small chapel.

This is a recording of the Welcoming Service at the Sinai Synagogue taken on Friday, March 24th. The welcoming service is done right before the Shabbat Service to welcome the “Queen of the Week,” the Shabbat. Shabbat is celebrated from sundown on Friday to sundown on Saturday and commemorates the creation of the world. The participants* are singing in Hebrew with Rabbi Michael Friedland leading. The prayers being sung in the recording were featured in both Hebrew and English in the prayer book, so it was easy for Clara, Giovanna, and I to follow along and understand what they were singing about.
